Okay, this is probably a stupid question, but I don't know the answer, so I'm going to ask.
My fiance and I live in CA, but are getting married in MN. Would it be okay to return gifts we get from, say, Target in MN and then go and use the store credit to buy the same gifts from a Target here in CA when we get back? Then we wouldn't have to ship the items, but would still have the same items people got us in the first place. We could also check to make sure that any items that were bought on sale would be shipped back to not lose on the sale price, and we could also check that items are still available at a store near us in CA before we return them. Does this sound reasonable?
