Thank Yous

When you write your thank yous for the bridal shower(s), are they from just you or both you and your FI?

We are having a couple's shower in his hometown, i would assume those thank yous are going to be from us both, correct?

Re: Thank Yous

  • I think you're right. If it was a couple's shower I would both sign the thank you notes. If it were just a shower for you, it would be you writing and signing the notes, even though FI is bound to benefit from your shower gifts too :)

  • DH and I signed thank you notes only from the writer for shower and wedding gifts (I wrote all the shower TY notes, we wrote wedding TY notes to our own sides).  It is weird to me to sign someone else's name or to have him just write his name at the end of a note that I wrote.

We mentioned eachother in the note, though.  For example:
    Dear Jane,
Thank you so much for the lovely picture frame.  FI and I look forward to displaying our favorite wedding photo in it.  It meant a lot to me that you were able to attend the shower, and we look forward to celebrating with you at the wedding!
    xoxo,
    me
