My FI and I won't be registering for another couple months, but I like to browse things and I'd like to know what we're looking for when we go. I prefer the look of stainless steel cookware; I like clean, simple designs. But I know you often have to cook a little differently with them, using lower heat, and they can be difficult to clean. But I have concerns with non-stick as well as I know they chip and often need to be replaced after several years, whereas I've heard stainless steel can pretty much last a lifetime if you care for it properly. Can anyone give me some input? What kind do you use and do you like it?
