What about registering for tools?  We don't need a lot of houseware and we definitely need and want tools.  (Nothing too expensive)  Wrench and socket sets, vices, saws, drills, etc.

I think that this is fine, just don't go too far overboard.  I've seen tons of people register for that ultra-handy cordless drill.

Yeah, it's more than okay.  I would steer away from them all being higher-end power tools though.  Just like any other registry, you need to have a good range of prices.

OMG PLEASE NO ONE TELL MY FI THIS! Hahaha.. I've told him we can register one of those places if he is willing to come to the shower & accept them.. he shut up real quick haha.. Ohhh I'll have just to except it and let him do it..

We registered for some tools at Sears and some people got so creative with the shower gifts (we give cash for wedding gifts around here).

Someone bought the tool box, but filled it with lots of kitchen tools I registered for at BB&B.
Someone else got us the picture frames we wanted and included a level and picture hangers.
