Items on Registry Not Received?

Just out of curiosity, were there items that were purchased off your registry that you never received?
H and I are missing 4 substantial gifts, gifts that are both pricey and much needed, as we're moving in a few weeks. I'm not sure whether to go ahead and buy them if we never receive them?

You should call your registry store and double-check with them to make sure the items were actually purchased.  I know of one retailer who re-adds items to the registry if they're returned for some reason, and one retailer who doesn't.

Also make sure that an item wasn't lost during shipping because those things do happen.  Good luck!

There are still 2 gifts marked as purchased that we never recieved. At this point I've given up hope of getting them. I went ahead and purchased the one I really wanted.

99% of our registry gifts were purchased.  The items that were left were discontinued or very expensive.  If you need these items, then you should purchase them yourself.  If you can wait, ask for them for Christmas.

The items were purchased off of her registry already but she never received them.

Yeah they show 'purchased' but I never got them. Our wedding was less than 2 weeks ago, I was just wondering what my chances were since two of them I will definitely need to buy one way or another.
Even if I do purchase them and then receive them later I guess I can just return them.

I would go ahead and buy them and save your receipts.  If you ever get the duplicate item you can just return the extra one.
