Honeymoon Registery Website?

Can anyone recommend a website where we can register for things for our honeymoon?  My FI & I have both been out on our own for 15 years and live together and well we already have everything we need and like how our home is decorated lol.  We are going to Vegas for our honeymoon and would like to set up a website where people can purchase/make a donation toward show tickets, dinners, spa things ect....

  • Look two posts up and read that.

  • Awesome!  Didn't see it when I posted from my phone.

    Thnx!

  • Just have a very small registry or none and spread the word you are saving for X and people will get the message.

No need to use a site that deceives your guests and takes a cut
  • We actually found a site that is stating it is fee free.  Gonna do some more research on it before deciding to go that route, but we have people scattered all over the world that are being invited.

  • For your personal situation I would recommend http://www.zankyou.com. They have really low rates for a honeymoon/cash wedding registry and they are the best for international couples/ international wedding guests. My cousin who used it for her wedding to a French guy.
  • I answered you on one of your other threads.  I think they are rude/tacky.  So no, I can't recommend a website to you.

How about spread the word instead, and avoid 1) some company taking a cut and 2) offending guests with something so rude.
  • I ditto the responses you got on the other board where you posted this. Asking for cash (Marina) or things for the HM are tacky. In the other thread, people explained why they are--guests are essentially just giving you a check even though they THINK they are purchasing you a dinner or excursion or whatever.

Skip the HM registry and spready via word of mouth that you are saving up for your trip. People know how to give cash and will do so if they want to.

  • We knew we were honeymooning at a Hyatt so we went directly through them, hyattregistry.com!! We liked the idea because we have been together for 9 years and have everything we need for our home. Do what is best for you, each couple has their own registry preference.
  • We are planning on offering a honeymoon gift registry and we talked to a local travel agent who offers services setting up your gift registry on honeymoon.com. I'm not sure if there is a cost associated with it, but we are going to start there.

I don't think these type of registeries are rude, but I do think some of the replies are. I think we should try to answer the OP's inquiry. A honeymoon registry might be nice because it gives your guests an idea of what you would like to use the money towards.
