I was just at a bridal shower where the bride recieved a really cool lamp that supposedly has some sort of Asian or Japanese symbolism. I am looking to buy one for one of my other engaged friends who is into Asian culture.
The lamp base had small cut-outs in it and could be turned on as well as the top (where the shade was). There was a special meaning to having only the base turned on, the top turned on, and both turned on at once. I believe you could also dim the base of the lamp as well.
I've googled for like an hour and cannot seem to find anytihng related to this lamp or symbolism! If anyone knows anytihng about it, please let me know where I could find one to purchase!!!
