Bridesmaids gifts

I found this frame in purple: http://www.davidsbridal.com/Product_Personalized-Kaleidoscope-Bridesmaid-Picture-Frame-GC859_Gifts-Wedding-Party-Gifts-Bridesmaid-Gifts I have found other frames that say maid of honor but for some reason I can not seem to find any that are in purple. If anyone by any chance knows where I can find a purple maid of honor frame that would be awesome!

Re: Bridesmaids gifts

  • I would think you could find "friendship" or "sister" frames more easily.

To be honest, gifts that are wedding-centric are really only exciting to the bride and groom.  Treat this more like a birthday or Christmas gift for the girls.  Get them something that isn't all about the wedding, but rather about your relationship with them.

  • I agree with PPs. If you think your BMs would like a picture frame, I would get them one that says "friends" or something like that--I've seen many of those--and they are not centered around your wedding.

  • Etsy is a GREAT spot for personalized gifts like this.   You can find almost anything personalized in any color.  :)
  • To be frank with you, I'd chuck that out as soon as I got home if someone gave it to me. Wedding party gifts really shouldn't be related to your wedding, either thematically or by color.

  • I am also giving them earings and bracelet to wear.

To wear in the wedding?  Then they don't count as a present either.  Things for your wedding are not a present for them, they're part of the uniform.

[QUOTE]I don't want to sound ugly, but nobody really wants a frame - or anything else - that says MAID OF HONOR or BRIDESMAID on it.  It isn't useful after the wedding.  Would you want that on display in your living room?  Will YOUR wedding colors match other people's home decor? Think about what each lady likes, and match the gift to her taste.  The wedding industry pushes that wedding-related kitsch off on brides and their wedding parties for profit reasons.  The gifts don't "have" to match...just be in the same general price range. Adult women don't want items that say BEST FRIEND or WORLD'S GREATEST SISTER on them.  Unless you see them walking around every day with their names embroidered on their purses in big swirly letters, don't buy them tote bags either. Again, I don't mean to sound ugly here....just practical.  Stop and think of how you'd feel if you unwrapped a Christmas or birthday gift and found the item that you're planning on giving them.  Good luck!

    THIS!!!
  • OP didn't ask whether or not people liked the idea of MOH/Bridesmaid frames.  She asked if anyone knows where she could find one in purple.

My suggestion would be Etsy as well.

  • Another cool gift is a day of pampering for your party to say thank you.  It's a nice gesture, they don't have to do anything and who doesn't like a massage of some sort.  Check out www.darbystouch.com they come to you and pamper your people including you.  Super affordable too and the owner is really nice.
