I have a question. I've fallen in love with 2 all-white bone china patterns and keep wavering between the two. I'm wondering if it would be odd to register for 6 place settings and a couple serving pieces for each pattern? I've seen both in person and they have the same "color" and weight/feel. The first is a Crate and Barrel pattern. It actually looks a lot more geometric and modern in person, and it's a creamy white like the Wedgwood pattern (it looks grey-ish in the stock photo).
I like the idea of alternating every other place between the two patterns. We are inheriting a couple of traditional services for 12 from our families. It might be fun for our new heirloom to be a little different?....
It's very much our style to have slightly mismatched and funky pieces, but I can't decide if this would be odd on the registry.
