Received a gift without a card

Yesterday we got a gift shipped in the mail directly from Williams Sonoma, but there's no identifying information anywhere about who sent the gift.  WS is not where registered, so there's no help just checking the registry either.

I have no idea how to figure out who send a thank you to for the lovely gift.  Any ideas?

Re: Received a gift without a card

  • Was there a name on the receipt?  we had a gift sent from C&B right after we registered and the name was on the receipt inside the shipping box otherwise we woudln't have know who it came from.

  • I would try calling W&S to see if they'll tell you who the sender was, and check the receipt.

If you still aren't having any luck, I'd ask my mom and a few other close relatives/friends if they had heard anything about it.  They might be able to help put out feelers, as in, "Oh, hey Aunt Jane!  How are you?  Filaw got a beautiful gift in the mail from W&S with no name on it--any ideas who it's from?" or similar.

Yeah, nothing was on the packing slip.  I'll try calling WS.  Thanks so much for the help!
  • Is there a shipping tracking number on the package? Maybe W&S can look up information using that.  Hopefully they have shipping tracking #s that they can cross reference to get invoice or customer receipt.
