I am just now starting to research registry ideas and I came up with using
www.ourwishingwell.com. I love the website and the extreme ease and convenience so my fiance and I have chosen to do an online registry. However, I need to know a little more about registry ettiquette. By that I mean, how do I tell my guests about it? When do I tell my guests about it? Do I send a notice along with the invitations? I know I can post it on facebook and email guests etc. but I dont have everyone's email and not every guest is on my facebook. I assumed it would be through the save the dates or the invitations as that is how I can reach out to everyone.
Through the same website we have a personalized wedding website with more information. I assume with that I might be able to just post it now? Im unsure what the proper timing is to let guests know and how to politely let them know if they are interested in gifting that this is the way we are requesting it. Theres a cute poem on our website that tells them we are not excepting gifts at the wedding. That doesn't mean I wont of course, if thats more convenient for the guest, but it sort of deters them from bringing something.
So, in short, whats the best way to introduce our website and registry?
