Deep breaths!

I've had a few wedding nightmares myself - so I know how much they can rattle you (though I must confess I don't have quite the family drama you have).

I'd just do what you are doing - have contingency plans in place (like extra curlers), and remember you are planning and having YOUR wedding (not your sister's).

Ditto PP -- deep breaths! Just a nightmare (which many of us had probably had) and your day is going to be just awesome!

Why is your mom telling you how terrible your wedding is going to be??? Perhaps this has already been talked about it but I may have missed it...

I'm so sorry!  I had a couple of dreams like this!  Just take a deep breath and try to relax!  I know it will be wonderful! :-)

She's does this when she doesn't get her way. Considering we gave them any money they offered to us (plus some they were suppose to give back) she doesn't get to dictate things anymore. It makes her upset so she says crazy thing. It's fine, my sisters and I are really use to it. I guess I just too it harder this time.

I didn't get to see your OP, but I get the gist from people's responses and your earlier posts. I just wanted to add that someone close to us told us our wedding would be boring when they didn't get their way on our wedding planning, and that was hard to hear. For the record, our wedding turned out to be 100% the opposite of boring.

Don't listen to anyone else, or to the nightmares. None of the things I worried about in my dreams happened. (Things I didn't ever think about did, like chocolate on my dress, ugh, but even that turned out to be no big deal)

Yea. Indian traditions of going from your parents house to your husband's house. It's actually looked down upon if you live on your own when you're in the same city as your folks. My parents talked my into moving back because "people were talking" and I was stupid and agreed. Now it's not possible to get my own place before I get married.

Deepthi,
I have every faith in you and your planning of your wedding.  I know it can be hard but try to push your mom's negativity out of your mind.  It's going to be beautiful and people will have a wonderful time.  I just know it.

I don't know how well what I would suggest would work since you are in the same house.  Do you have your own room where you can go to escape it all?
