Question/Ideas needed

Does anyone have any good ideas or thoughts about where to begin looking for a gift for our parents?  The hardest part is going to buying a gift for his Dad and step-mom as we are not that close to them.  Also, we are just struggling in general to think of ideas for his mom or my parents.  We wanted to get them something we can give to them at the Rehearsal dinner to just show how much their support means and to thank them for always being there for us.

    What about a gift card for a nice dinner at a restaurant they like?

    purchasing wedding photo books (either through your photographer or making them yourselves) is a great wedding gift for parents. parents can be so difficult to shop for... and they're basically the only people who will genuinely LOVE pictures of you!

    These are good ideas above. Anything that would work for mother's day, father's day, birthdays, etc. is appropriate.

    But I think better than a gift would be a well thought-out toast to your parents at the rehearsal dinner. Actually expressing your feelings with words will work better than any gift.
