Buca Di Beppo/Ferrari's Italian Villa

i was planning on having a "dinner" reception to celebrate our marriage. (after 8 years, we're FINALLY going to elope!) but we wanted to do something with our friends too.
30-40 people.

has anyone ever had a reception dinner at Buca Di Beppo in southlake or Ferraris italian villa in grapevine? Buca has some amazingly delicious food, and i got their brochures for their package prices today, really like the place, prices are good but the event rooms are just so... i dont know. The only thing i would like to change is have my own music.

I have looked in to Ferrari's and am waiting for a reply but from the photos i have seen of the place, it looks so beautiful and modern! same type of food, but nearly double in price!.

so i am in need of some opinions if anyone has hosted or has been to an event hosted in these eateries, or if you guys have any suggestions for other restraunts with banquet type rooms. I have already looked in to El Fenix & Maggiano's, nice and has good prices but not really interested, and it would be about a 2 hour commute for me :/.

We had a Knottie a lonnnng time ago that had both her ceremony and reception at Ferrari's.  I will try and see if I can find it.

I hosted a party at a private room at Pappadeux.  It was very affordable, the food and service was great, and the private rooms have their own entrances, restrooms and bar.  It was really nice but that has been my only experience.

We had a Knottie get married at the downtown El Fenix recently and Joe T. Garcia's in Ft. Worth as well as the Reata in Fort Worth are also popular.

I have been to the Buca at Northpark and I am not a fan of their food.  It is definitely a step down from Maggiano's IMO (which I am also not even a huge fan of).
  • I second Reata! We are going to have our family Christmas there in one of their rooms!
And the food at Buca is, like Stephie said, so-so. I don't have any experience with their party rooms, though.

Ok, here is the bio for the girl that got married at Ferrari's.  She used the one in Addison though.  HTH.

  • I have also inquired about the reata. I love the outdoor spaces they have, but knowing my luck a hail storm will roll right through and in texas, that IS possible. Lol
  • My fiance and I had our engagement party at Buca di Beppo in Southlake.  The food was amazing, but the service was just okay.  We had their largest room to ourselves, and even though we only had about 25 people it was exceptionally cramped.  I forget which package we ended up doing, but I remember it didn't include alcohol.  Guests bought their own alcohol if they wanted any.  Even without the expense of alcohol, our engagement dinner cost about $1,000 for 25 people.  Anyway, I hope this information helps!
