What is the rule for opening registry gifts sent to the house? My fiance and I are getting married a little over a month from now and are starting to receive gifts. We want to be polite and timely in our thank you notes, but don't want people to be offended if we opened gifts and we shouldn't have. Does anyone know the etiquette for this?
