what else can i register for??

So we registered at Bed Bath and Beyond today. It was fun, totalled about 97 items. We have 220 people invited to the wedding. So that's not quite enough. We are supposed to register at Target now and since we were so tired from BBB, I got online to register. I can't find anything now! I don't know what to do? How do you find enough stuff?? HELP!

Re: what else can i register for??

  • Going into the store is honestly the best way to do the registry in my opinion. I tried to do some of our Macy's registery online and couldn't find anything, but when we got into the store I found a TON of stuff! I think Target is a lot like Wal-Mart, which is my biggest registry. Half the things I registered for there aren't online, and some of the stuff I was going to add online aren't available in store. Most of the people that live around here will go to the store to get things. Have fun with your registering! :)

  • There is a great list at the top of the board of things you can register for.  But I agree that walking around the store made it easier than registering online cause you could see and touch items and get a better idea of what you really need/want.

  • Definitely check out the sticky note at the top of this board to get some ideas.  The worst case scenario is that you don't find anything else to add to your registry.  People will give you cash once they realize that there's nothing left on your registry once the wedding comes around.
  • Don't register for things just for the sake of having a full registry.  Do you really want a closet full of items youo don't really need or want?  When the registry is up people will get gift cards, checks and cash.

Here are a few off-beat items that would be OK to add:
    Camping gear
    Lawn Games
    BBQ kit
    Camping gear
    Tools

The basics, look through registry suggestions for more ideas::
    Towels, bath items
    Sheets, bedding
    Bakeware
    Pots, Pans
    Cooking gadgets
Dishes (everyday and china), plus serving pieces)
    Silverware
Glasses (everyday, wine, champange, specialty, pitcher)
    knives
electircs (blender, toaster, specialty:breadmaker, coffee maker)
    table cloth, napkins
    Home decor

  • I personally loved creating and updating our registries (BBB, Macy's and CB) online.

In fact, we never even went into Macy's for our registry.

Some things that we registered for, that I'm glad we did, but a lot of our old stuff were hand-me downs and ready to be replaced:

-bedding (everything: mattress pad, down comforter, duvet cover, sheets, bed skirt, pillow shams
-Garbage can (a nice Simple Human one)
    -Plastic bag holder (BBB)
    -Desk (CB)
    -Spice rack
-iHome speaker (except we somehow got 2, so we returned them both & bought a Bose)
    -Shower rack
  • A few more ideas:

    - Oversized beach towels
    - Picnic basket & blanket
    - Odd furniture items (for example, we registered for a nice wooden collapsable desk chair we need)
    - Lawn chairs
    - Tailgating equipment if you tailgate for football games, etc.
    - Supplies for a wedding scrapbook
  • everyone is so helpful! thank you!!!!

  • Seriously, there's no such thing as too many towels.
