What is your favorite Christmas Memory?
How old were you?  I don't know how old I was but it was one of the last Christmas we spent together before my parents got divorced.

What is the weirdest tradition you have? We don't have any Christmas traditions. Only that we eat dinner on Christmas eve at 11PM and at midnight we hug and kiss and celebrate.
For New Years we eat the 12 grapes, run around with a suitcase for traveling, throw money behind your back, wear red underwear, and sweep the house..

Strangest gift you recieved? man I have bad memory... I'll have to keep thinking on this one.

Best gift? My sister, I asked for her 3 years in a row on my letter and I got her (this maybe too much TMI but even though my parents did everything possible to avoid a kid.. she still was born therefore she is my best gift!

What is your favorite Christmas Memory? How old were you? Okay, not really the best, but it's the one my family still laughs about to this day. When I was 5 or 6, I got a mini skirt for Christmas. It happened to be the gift I opened before we went to midnight service at church and I INSISTED on wearing it to services. Well, at the end of the service when we were standing up to sing Silent Night, I stood up before my mom and grandma, who were sitting around me ON MY SKIRT. Needless to say I was a little embarrassed. This same Christmas, I managed to get hot wax on me during the candlelight service and screamed loud enough to make a scene.

What is the weirdest tradition you have? We don't really have any traditions, except we used to open one gift on Christmas Eve. Now my mom only gets us one thing (being a grown up sucks) so we have to wait til the Family Christmas to open it.

Strangest gift you recieved? Last year my grandpa got all of us bath sets - two towels and washcloths with cheap generic shampoo. We are still shaking our head about it. But it was better than the chocolate covered cherries we usually get that no one eats.

Best gift?  Pearls that my mom got me last year; FI also got me a set in a different shade.

What is your favorite Christmas Memory?
Baking/decorating cookies ad gingerbread houses with my Aunt and cousins.

    How old were you?
Wow. I feel old, but probably 20+ years ago. I think I was 10, maybe a tad younger.

What is the weirdest tradition you have?
I don't think we do anything weird, actually. We used to leave carrots for the Reindeer, that might be it.

    Strangest gift you recieved?
My Grammie used to always give the grandkids the craziest gifts--one year, she gave us items with our school picture from that year on it. I received a big pillow with my likeness (completely creepy to keep in my own room) while my sister and youngest cousin got stuffed dolls with their faces on them. My mom and Aunt had a bit too much to drink, and treated them like voodoo dolls later that night. It is by far the best Christmas video we have to look back on.

    Best gift?
When I was 11 I got NKOTB tickets, which rocked the house. I've gotten jewelry and all that jazz, but nothing else significant that I can remember. FI would kill me if he read that. Yikes!

What is your favorite Christmas Memory?  When I got my first bike.  My parents told me to go into their room to get the camera.  When I went in I saw my bike but I thought I would get in trouble for seeing it before they brought it out.  Not knowing this was their plan, I came out with the camera and didn't say a word.  I remember they looked confused.  My dad went to the room, brought the bike out and I faked the best looking surprise expression ever.  My mom has a picture of it.  I think I was 7.

What is the weirdest tradition you have? We don't have any weird traditions for Christmas.

Strangest gift you recieved? A wrapped box of Pecan Sandies.  From FI's mom.  To both of us.

ETA: I forgot the best gift - That would be a new-to-me car that my mom gave me after I got my license.  I know she had to have saved every last penny for a while to be able to do that.  It was right after my parents were divorced.

    Ooh, fun stuff!

What is your favorite Christmas Memory? I remember getting to put the star on top of the tree... my older sister wanted to do it, but I wanted to more, so she let me
How old were you? Young enough that my dad had to pick me up to do it.... and I guess young enough that he actually was able to still pick me up, lol

What is the weirdest tradition you have? We eat a huge breakfast on Christmas morning, usually around 11, after we open all the presents.  Even though we're all grown, we still have always come home for Christmas morning... except for last year, my sis went to her ILs, and then this year, my brother is staying home Christmas morning.  I'm not ready to be grown enough to be somewhere else on Christmas morning!!

Strangest gift you recieved?  We do Chinese Christmas with my mom's extended family every year... I always do alright, but DH always ends up with crappy gifts.  It's supposed to be a $25 gift, so that it can be something decent... This year he got a fleece blanket with a huge picture of a wolf on it.  It's the kind that you can cut the edges and tie in little knots... and he HATES fleece because it's always static-y.

Best gift?  Last year DH got me a gift card to Walmart so that I could go pick out some workout equipment, because we were turning a room in our house into my workout room.  I was really excited about it.... but then the wedding planning took over that room and I still haven't gotten it cleaned back up to where it's usable :(

What is your favorite Christmas Memory?

Going to LA to visit my dad's family. 10 hour car ride, but we would get prizes every so often during the trip to make it bareable. My grandmother can COOK! I miss that the most.

    How old were you?
    8

What is the weirdest tradition you have?
We do the pickle ornament thing on the tree, peppermint pig, and chinese gift exchange.

    Strangest gift you recieved?

I don't remember any, but last year I got Planet Earth 5 disc set in the exchange. No one wanted it and they made fun of me. They were all glued to the TV when I put it in. In fact my aunt ended up buying one for their grandchild.

    Best gift?

My James Avery charm bracelet. I LOVE IT! I wear it all the time and love all the charms that FI gives me. I'm wearing it in our e-photos.

    LOL.  That's pretty bad too!

Not that I expect anything...but when she said it was for us BOTH and then went on to say how much she spent on her boyfriend's teenage son...I just felt bad for Chris.  At least put some thought into it and don't talk about the grand you just dropped on someone else's kid.
