    I think this is a personal choice and no one can tell you how much is appropriate to give.  If you're not super close, and you're spending money on gas/hotels for 2 days, I'd probably give a little less than normal.  But, if you're close, I'd probably give the same amount as the sister.  My dh and I just went to my cousin's wedding in Texas, spending about $1500 between our flights, hotels, rental car, etc.  I still gave her $200 b/c we're like sisters.  So, I think it really depends.
