werid things showing up on my registery

So im registered at BBB.. I have a feeling my shower is coming up because things keep disappareing from it.
I was looking at it the other day and there are some really werid things that people bought for us that i didnt register for on there. Like, it says amount requested 0 amount purchused 2

like someone bought 2 vinyl table clothes? I think there for outdoors. We live in a city in a apartment and everyone knows that.. we would have no use for an out door table cloth. And i most deff didnt registar for it.

Could it be that people are just picking things up for them selves and paying for it all at once and it gets added on to my registery?

  • That is probably what is happening. If I went in and bought something for myself and your gift, it would more than likely show up on your registry as fulfilled.

I agree with PP.  That said, don't delete those items in case you DO get them for your shower.  BBB is pretty good about returns, but in general stores are super easy with it if you can show it was on your registry.  It's better to leave them on there unless you obviously aren't getting it (like I've seen candy bars show up on people's BBB registries before).

  • Most likely it's what you suspect: people buying for themselves at the same time, so it gets added to your registry. That happened to me a few times. Occasionally people will buy something for you off-registry (happened to us too), and it will also show up that way.

  • Yeah, unfortunately if the person purchasing the gift doesn't let the cashier know which items are off the registry and which ones are their personal items, everything ends up on your registry. The cashier is supposed to ask which items specifically are on the registry to avoid random stuff showing up, but not all of them do that of course.
