I just checked our mail and got our very first check or gift of any kind! I'm pretty excited. One of my great aunts (who is very formal and hoity toity) just sent us a check for $50. Is it acceptable to cash this now or should I wait until after the wedding? We are a little strapped for cash at the moment, since all our money is tied up in the wedding in some way or another. I'm assuming that the thank you card needs to be mailed ASAP. So do I cash it or wait?
