Apparently Target Has not been kind to many people registering there...how about JCP?

I have not registered at JCP or know anyone who has, but you could check them out. We registered at Target with absolutely zero issues, so there is that too. I have heard some people had issues with them, but I've also heard a lot of people haven't. So you might check into both.

I would personally not consider going with JCP due to all their revamp issues right now.  Who knows what products and prices things will be in a few months.

I registered at Target and have had no issues.  I used to love JCP, but don't go nearly as often now that they changed things, so I didn't even consider registering there.

Target was ok for us but we did have some pretty signficant issues.

My biggest peeve with JCP is that you can't purchase many of the items in the store and have to wait for them to ship - which takes awhile. The stuff I got from there was pretty quality though so either way, you'll win and lose something.

I was with JCP, and it was fine until the re-vamp. Actually, even w/ the revamp it was fine, except that they changed the way they did the bedding, basically I couldn't register for individual pieces of anything, just entire sets. Since I basically needed individual pieces of things, I switched back to BBB, which has some options for doing that.

The only other issue w/ JCP post changes was that it's a little hard to figure out what your price ranges are. One month something that's normally $75 will be $45, but the thing you thought was $25 is now $60. And it's not like most stores where the explain the markdown, it just seemed random and changed monthly, which I thought was weird. It would be nicer to just know, "ok, this item is in the $30 range," rather than having to wonder if it will be marked down the month of the shower/wedding.

We registered at Target with no issues. Everyone there was polite to us. I just love Target because they have a lot of nice stuff at decent prices, and some neat home decor items you wont find anywhere else. But we also registered at BBB & Kohls just to round it out and give people different options. Kohls seemed to be behind the times as far as their system went, but they gave me 15% off coupons to put in my shower invites & that seems to be the most popular registry so far!

I registered at Target with absolutely zero problems. Everyone there was really friendly, associates even asked if we needed any help finding things that we wanted on our registry. I wouldn't do JCP because of all their upcoming changes.
