My Fiance and I are planning on having a cruise wedding. We are also going to use this time as our honeymoon and have a reception/party for our friends and family when we get back.
Our cruise line offers a gift card that can be loaded with money to be used towards spa packages and excursions. We live together so the traditional shower gifts are of no use to us. We would really like it if people wanting to give us a gift would contribute to our wedding/honeymoon via that gift card.
How should we go about telling people this is our wish and that they would have to contribute to the gift card before we go on our cruise? I feel like a jerk telling people to buy us something before a certain date!
