Any Photography Shoppe reviews??

I am considering using Photography Shoppe...but am a little concerned because of the number of photographers they have.  Has anyone used them, or had any experience with them??

Thanks!

I'm sure they have some great photographers don't get me wrong, but I would strongly advise you meet and get to know your actual photographer before your wedding day.

Do they allow you to do this or do you just work with whoever shows up on the big day?

I would be using them for engagements and bridals....so assuming I would be able to use the same photographer, I would be able to see the work ahead of time.  They just seem to be harder to work with because they're so big...versus these places that have 1 or 2 photographers.  BUT they're got amazing prices and products.  I was just hoping someone had actually used them and could give me a 1st hand prospective.

Most of us are not big fans of these big "corporate" photography places.

I cannot tell you how vital developing a relationship with my photographer was on my wedding day.  I would really make sure you will be with one person from engagements through to the wedding day.  And you want to "see their work ahead of time" before you sign with them and do engagements and bridals.

ETA:  Oh, and although I know nothing about this company in particular, a girl on my club board went with one of these places and although her pictures were very nice, it took forever for her to get them--as in she just got them a few weeks ago and her wedding was in November.

Sorry I don't have any personal experience with them.

Before you go with them, definitely check out some other photographers.  There are some girls on here who can recommend to you some VERY good photographers who are really really affordable.

I will probably get flamed, but I think if kepping your cost down is important and you dont feel the need to have a "connection" to your photographer then do it.

I am doiong something similar with Studio Blue.  Since I only need a photographer for the wedding day and I saw the work they had done for a coworker of mine I thought it was a great deal.  Plus if your photographer gets sick or has a personal situation come up the day of your wedding there is a guaranteed back up.

I signed with photography shoppe at a bridal show. They promised that I would be able to schedule my engagements within 3 weeks and I called 4 times without a returned phone call to schedule.

They have MULTIPLE complaints with the Better Business Bureau. I have heard reports where they promise you a certain photographer and a different one shows up on your wedding day.

I have seen proofs of an engagement shoot they did and it was amateur looking - with sun spots showing in the background.

Furthermore, they originally had a different company name and had to change it because of the bad reviews that had under that name.

I lost 600 dollars of deposit because I had to change.

Do whatever is best for you, but the pictures that they show at the bridal show are vastly different than the actual pictures you get back from your own shoot - I am talking about quality with this.

I would look them up yourself with the BBB and read the multiple complaints.

Low price always shows its true colors in quality and service.

    Good luck!

It's really nice to have the personal connection with your photographer.  Also, be careful to be sure that you are getting a Professional Photographer.  Some corporations contract the work out, so you may not have the same photographer that you had on your engagement session for your wedding.
