I have a dilemma. My fiance and I are paying for most of the wedding and my mom has helped so much with our wedding planning, that I have gotten a special gift for her. My mother-in-law hasn't done much at all, but I have gotten her a small thing to thank her for her "help".
I was planning on giving my bridesmaids and my mom and mother-in-law their gifts at the rehearsal dinner, but am worried that the mother-in-law will take it really personally. She has no clue about weddings and how much work goes into them, so she has no prior knowledge to go by when getting a "thank you" gift.
Should I give them the gifts at a separate time?
