I flame myself for missing the run with my mom this morning. We didn't do it on our regular day (Thursday) because of the storms and now I'm all thrown off. Sorry mama.

I also flame all of the rental scammers on Zillow, Hot Pads, and Craigslist. We didn't get scammed or anything, but it's such a waste of tiiiiiiiime.

I flame that when we have our product education conference in Orlando next month we have to do some kind of talent thing similar to America's Got Talent on Regional night. Our district has to come up with a talent and perform in front of all the other districts in our region. I had a nightmare we were all dressed and acting like Toddlers in Tiaras. UGHHHH!!!
On a good note it's Friday and will be an easy day for me. Inventory is done, had my visit with my DM and regional director yesterday. I'm leaving work at 3 pm and FI and I are heading to San Antonio for the weekend.

I'm setting myself up for a lame Friday night.  I am so, so tired... which means I will likely come home, eat dinner, do some stuff online for a bit, and promptly go to sleep.  Poor H.

Ash - What they do is steal an MLS number plus pictures of a house that is for sale, and then they post it to any of those websites for a rental price that is VERY eye-catching, and when you inquire, you get an email back like this, and they try to get you to wire money and the keys will be delivered via UShip (which I actually think is a legit service). Oh, and it's worth noting that this house was for sale for 275,000, so 700 for rent is a steal (if it wre real).

"We are pleased that you have an interest in our house, Our lovely home is still available for lease and we want responsible adults/family who are neat and also believe that they have what it takes to take care of our house as if it were theirs. My wife and I initially had it up for sale but had a change of mind in leasing it out ourselves because the agent that was in charge of our rental property was asking too much of an agent fee and also making it difficult for people who cannot afford the rent, stay away from renting my house. Hope you are okay with the monthly Rent $700 and a security deposit payment of $500 with Utilities include Electricity, water, gas while appliances includes refrigerator, Stove, microwave, dishwasher, Washer/Dryer, Garbage etc.....
 
The reason why our house is up for lease is because I got transferred from my place of work to Roseville,Michigan ,I will be away with my family for at least 4 to 5 years because of the love I have for them, I have decided not to sell our house and also assuring them that we only have few years to spend here and will be willing to lease it out to person/family who is willing to assure us of taking absolute care of our home and pay their rent on time."

Carrie - so true that you have to be careful with this stuff.  I can tell you that if you find a house to lease near WRL that's under $1100-1200/month, you're probably looking at a scam... or a really nasty house.

I flame my tummy.  I have been SO HUNGRY lately.  WTF?!  I lost 15 lbs while H was gone those 2 months, and I've now gained 7lbs of it back.  And I feel like I'm starving all the time.  I hate you, tummy... I hate you.

I mean, we are really cautious so I don't think we are at a true risk but it's such a waste of my time. I guess I know what to look out for a little bit more now. I also feel bad for people who are truly trying to sell their house and some creepo takes all their info and who knows who will show up an knock on the door to inquire! Before we were wise to the whole thing, we drove by one of these houses to call the number outside the house, and instead of a leasor it was a realtor and he said he had received 100 calls just that day of people driving by and getting the number based on the scam. It's so crazy!

I flame H, who isn't really making irrational requests of me, but does not seem to realize that I actually am doing work around the house (and am currently the only one doing any unpacking since he is working).

Well, in about 20 minutes I will not have anything to flame since I signed up for a 30 minute massage from the lady that comes to our office every payday. I am in desperate need, and in the year I've worked here I've never taken advantage of this greatness. I guess I could flame myself for waiting so dang long. I guess I was always worried that it would become a habit, albeit not a bad one.
 $1 per minute is pretty great.
I flame people who don't seem to understand that contacting venues to ask questions is part of the planning process. If you need to get quotes, call. If you need to know how high the celings are so you can price drapery, call and find out. Even though I had my reception at a particular venue, I'm pretty sure I don't remember that very specific number.

Yes. I don't understand why people don't want to contact their vendors themselves for pricing. Does contact people suck? Yes. But if you want what you want at the wedding it has to be done.

Professor, my flame is maybe somewhat similar to yours.  Why does H do nothing to help around the house when he's still been off work 3 days this week?   He has told me before its that I'm too picky about housework and that he doesn't know what needs to be done.  Okay, any housework is better than no housework, so I'm not going to be picky about that.  And seriously, you don't know what needs to be done?  There's crap all over the carpet... so you vacuum it.  The furniture is dusty... so you would need to dust it.  There are dishes piled all over the kitchen counter (most of them yours), so you would need to wash them.  It's essentially rocket science, I'm aware, but c'mon.

Haha, Amy, once I find some paper I'm going to make a list of tasks that are definitely his job.  The other day I was talking about things I was going to take up to the attic, and he goes, "Oh, you can put my PPE bags up there, too!"  PPE stands for "Personal Protective Equipment."  They are hockey bags full of safety gear.  Not dragging those up there without some help, at least.

Amy and Amanda- FI finally had to ask me to make him a honey-do list every day before I leave for work on the days he's not working. Ask and he shall receive. I make a list of 4-5 things to do (sometimes it's just like, email your mom about that recipe) and almost without fail he does them all. My mom specifically told me 'If you wanted a spouse to think like you, then you should have been a lesbian.'
