Say Anything Wednesday

I can't get over how amazingly good this bartlett pear was that I had for breakfast.  It was so delicious.  It seriously made my morning.

I can't wait for Spring Break. I finally get to go on my honeymoon.  Plus all the kids are getting antsy and driving me crazy.

Ok this is a long one....

I feel like I'm starting to get somewhere with this wedding planning. I got my dress this weekend and got all of the centerpieces. I know that there is still so much to do and its so hard to stay within our budget so I'm feeling a bit overwhelmed!! My sister came up with a great idea to do wine charms as favor/ place cards since our wedding is at a winery. Any suggestions on what I should do for the kids attending that wont be holding wine glasses?

So let me ask ya'lls advice on this as well... a friend of mine from church is getting married on Saturday. This past Sunday he asked if he sent my fiance and I an invitation which he did not. He then proceeded to invite us but I feel really awkward about it since we didnt receive a formal invitation. I'm worried that since guys have no idea what goes into planning a wedding and seating charts and having enough food that his fiance may get upset that we're there since I'm not sure if he cleared it with her first. Any suggestions? Should we just not go or go and hope for the best?

Alright I think thats all I have to say for now :) Hope you all are having a wonderful day!

I saw the title of this thread and thought "is it really Wednesday already"?

The sky is reflecting my mood today. Hopefully the sun will come out and I will cheer up.

We did goody bags for the kids: it had several small games, coloring books, crayons and glow in the dark thingys...we spent about $40 on them all and they seemed to really enjoy it.

If you are friends with the girl, you could ask her.

Ahren, honestly, they probably had alot of people RSVP no and are now inviting people that they would have liked to invite originally, but didn't because of space and/or budget.  So basically, you're getting a B-list invitation.  Without a formal invitation, I personally think I would decline.

This week seems to be crawling by.  Fun things are that we are meeting with our potenital officiant tonight.  Hopefully that goes well.  He seemed really nice on the phone.  Hopefully he has some fun ceremony ideas since we don't really want to do the unity candle or sand thing.

Not so fun things are that I am eating everything in sight since Saturday.  I baked a  cake and cupcakes last Friday for a b-day & new home party.  I ended up not taking the cake since it didn't turn out as pretty as I wanted.  Turns out, it still tastes great and I'm constantly cutting pieces off to snack on.  And don't even get me started on all the Girl Scout Cookies I've consumed at the office.  People need to stop bringing in their cookies.

And my completely random thought is how much I love the cowboy brothers from Amazing Race.  We watched it last night and they just make me laugh.

Stephie.... I watch HGTV nonstop, I bought my house last year and I am still hooked.

    Other randoms:

    1) My head feels like it's going to explode.. I hate tension headaches that happen when in rains.

    2) We scheduled our engagements!!!!!! Soo excited.

Thanks shortgirltx... Goody bags are a fantastic idea; a great day to keep them entertained.

I'm not friends with his fiance unfortunately. I've only met her once or twice so I don't know her very well and dont have a way to contact her.

Hmm... didn't even think of the B list. Well doesnt that make me feel just great lol... I'll probably just make a decision last minute but I think I'll feel too awkward going.

Yeah, I know, it's awkward.  I know this from experience though because church people are some of the people we left off the list due to space and I would have loved to have had them there--and it ends up I could have since we had so many last minute cancellations.  So they are probably sincere in wanting to invite you if that helps at all.

I really hope the gastroenterologist fills out my paperwork and faxes it today over to the district.  If they don't do it by tomorrow morning, I can't go back to work the Monday after Spring Break.  I'm ready to be back!

I got a verbal, b-list invite to a wedding once, and it really didn't bother me at all. I went to college with the couple, but they were both closer to my MOH than to me. I knew they were on a really tight budget, so I was actually flattered when she invited us. And I had a blast with some of my old college buddies, so it worked out.

I've become pretty addicted to frozen grapes recently.

We're going to AT&T tonight to look at switching since I can't wait any longer for Verizon to get the iPhone.

    IM FINALLY UNDER 100 DAYS!!!!

And I'm getting my bridal pics taken next week. Expect me to AW them like crazy. A parasol, balloons, sunglasses, and OU gear will be involved...

And a mild confession: I stole one of the poses I want to do from a Knottie on here. Hint: she's a very active poster, and was married before ever got on this board...

Marissa - that is very exciting.  I can't wait to see them.  Is it the pose where she's laying on a bench (or some sort of sofa - I can't remember exactly) with her hand like trailing the ground?  If it is - I absolutely LOVE that picture.  I can't remember her name though.  Sorry - I'm bad with names.

I hope everyone is having a great week!

    Happy birthday, Chuck Norris.

David and I went to the dentist on Monday for the first time in a few years.  I couldn't stop laughing when the dentist came in and said, "Wow, your teeth are so much better than your husband's!"

Of course I stopped laughing once I realized he needed some fairly major work, including pulling his 3 remaining wisdom teeth.  Seriously, what dentist only pulls 1 wisdom tooth?

I am so incredibly busy this week.

There's something going on with one of DH's family members and for whatever reason, I'm not allowed to know about it. I kind of understand...but at the same time, I consider myself part of the family so it sort of bothers me and makes me a bit uncomfortable. They won't talk about it in front of me and DH leaves the room when he's on the phone talking about it. I should let them have their privacy, but it makes me feel like an outsider.

Serlace, there is a photo like that on my photographer's blog (jessicamooney.squarespace.com--ironically the bride is Marissa too) I don't think she was a Knottie, though I do love that pose.

The pose I'm talking about is from a Knottie that I don't think ever shared her bridals on here (though she may have before I was around). I pilfered it off Facebook :)

    Cheryl,
I'm sorry you're feeling like an outsider.  That's how I felt this past year over Christmas.  Hopefully, they remember that you are part of the family and let you know about the trouble.
