How many items on your registry?

So FI and I started our registries at Bed Bath and Beyond and Target.  We had a great time but it was very tiring!  Btw, I was kind of scared to register at Target because of some things I have heard but so far so good.  They did change my quantity of one item but I changed it back and it has stayed.  Anyway, how many items are on your registries?  We have 40 at BBB and 37 at Target.  I know we have to put more but was just wondering what average was.   Thanks ladies!

Re: How many items on your registry?

  • We have a little over 200 combined from our BBB & C&B registries. Some of the things that take up a lot of that # are the 12 place settings of china,  12 wine glasses, 12 water goblets, 12 sets of flatware etc.

We are expecting about 150 at the wedding, and about 50 for the shower. I'm a few days away from my shower and over 70% of the 200-something items have been purchased!

  • Well, we are both starting off, so we need eeeeeeverything. Because of that, we had about 90 at Target, 130 at BBB and 70 at Kohls.
  • We've got about 330 items spread out over several registries - we're inviting around 300, and I'm going to have at least one (possibly two) showers.  FI and I are just starting out, so we need a lot, and this allowed us to give guests options.

  • We've got around 100 on one registry, for about 130 guests, but we live in a part of the country where wedding gifts are generally cash, so I really only need the registry for the shower (to which considerably less than 130 will be invited).  We've also been living together awhile, so we didn't need as much as a couple just starting out would.  I think how many items you have on your registry is a mix of (a) how much stuff you need and (b) how many guests you're having.

  • We have around 60-70 items on our registry (only Williams Sonoma) and most of that is because we requested individual pieces of pots/pans, dishes, glasses, and knives.

But, we already have everything we need so our registry is more for the nicer/upgraded stuff and we're hoping guests will be more inclined for cash/gift cards.

  • We're both starting out, and we've got about 300 items spread over 4 registries.
  • It's like 120 at Macy's, 65 at Sur la Table, and 40 at replacements.com. At Macy's and Sur la Table, most items are under $20. The item numbers are high because we registered for Fiesta Ware open stock and for prep cups open stock. I think our smallest prep cups are less than $1 each. I anticipate people will get more than one little thing. With somewhere around 150 guest, we're still below the 2-per-guest rule, which is fine with me.
  • I started with about 80 items on two registries, but after my bridal shower, I realized that my apartment is so small, I really don't have anywhere to store everything. So I just cut back to about 40 items.
  • We have just over 200 items total. Our place settings and silverware (12 each) along with drinking glasses, etc take up a lot of it.

  • We have 67 items on Crate & Barrel (counting 12 drinking glasses, etc..) and 16 items on Bed, Bath and Beyond. My shower only has 20 guests and we are inviting 130 people to the wedding. I have most of what I need already, but if the registries are really low after the shower, I might add a few more items in case there are people who do not want to give cash. I'd prefer cash as a wedding gift though so I kept my registries small on purpose.
  • I have not registered yet and am thinking about not doing it but if I did, i would only register for about 20 or so items (upgrades of things I have or things I need but have not bought yet). I have 150+ guest list and only having around 20 girls at my shower. I expect about half my guests won't be able to get us a gift and I don't want them to feel obligated. But registering seems like fun...
