My FI and I registered in December for our May wedding because some guests wanted to get us things for Christmas. In January, tons of our stuff was discontinued, which makes sense, but it's kept up. Our Le Cruset dutch ovens? Dropped to be replaced in their inventory with almost the exact same item. Cloth napkins? Dropped, no easy replacement.
The BIG ISSUE however is their in-store availability. I've had family members call the store to confirm they have an item, only to drive there and they "can't find it." This has been at multiple Macy's at multiple cities. What.. the.. heck. They seem to put the phone down, pretend to check the aisle, and then say they have the item.
Wanted to pass it along. We are very glad to have registered at Amazon as well for people who don't want to deal with this headache.
