Weird items showing up on C&B registry

I just noticed that there are some items showing up on my Crate and Barrel registry that I didn't register for. They are maked as fulfilled and have '0' in the 'wants' column. Has this happened to any of you?

I believe this happens when someone buys you a registry item and additional items that are not on your registry. They may not have even gotten the item for you, but the system doesn't differentiate between multiple items bought on a single order.

It is because people are buying you things you didn't register for (probably in combination with things you DID select). This happened to me on both my C&B registry and BBB. Some of the BBB stuff that got added on was kind of funny...the cashier must have hit the wrong button because it added a greeting card at one point.

I will say this: if you think you might want to return the item, don't delete it.  They need a record that it was for your registry.

We had the wrong plates show up on our registry as being purchased (they are square instead of the round ones we registered for).  I have no idea if they are a gift for us, or if someone else just bought them while buying other stuff that WAS on our registry.  It shows up as "wanted - 0, receiving - 2."   Hopefully nobody else will see them and get us more square plates:-)  If they do, they can be returned.   Good tip about not deleting them though, I hadn't even thought of that.
