Most coveted registry item?

Which item on your registry are you REALLY hoping to get? Or if you've already gotten hitched, what gift did you love the most?

Just curious.

Re: Most coveted registry item?

  • This is probably sad, but the item I *really* wanted was the stainless steel trash can from BBB.  It is silly because it is stupidly expensive ($120 I think) so hard for me to justify purchasing on my own, but I REALLY want it, so I really hoped someone would give it to us.  No luck, so we'll probably buy it as part of our completion.

The other item we really wanted was our china, of which we only got 2 place settings.  We're debating keeping them and buying some more or returning them.  :(
  • I was super excited to get my silverware. We found a set we adored, and I was thrilled that we got it.

  • I was quite excited to get my Dyson.  My Nana and two of my aunts went in on it together and I was very happy!

  • My Dyson vacuum.  DH purchased it for me for a Christmas present before our wedding so I didn't even have to wait to use it.  The other thing was my Kitchen Aid Mixer which my sister purchased after the wedding so it was a great surprise.

  • I really want the Bissell pet vacuum we put on the registry - I have long hair and we'll have a dog and 2 cats and the vacuum I have now doesn't suck anything up.  But, it's the most expensive thing on our registry and I figure we'll just get it with a completion discount or something.

As for the less expensive things on our list, I would love to get the stay & go crockpot, the pineapple corer/slicer thing from BB&B or any of the storage stuff we added to the list (we have a really small house).
  • I haven't even registered yet, but have been longing for a Kitchenaid since I was like 12. Seriously.  I'm lucky, though, because my aunt has already promised to get it for me. In fact, this is her tradition for family brides (either on her own or going in on it, depending on how close she is to the bride) and has promised it to me for years (including like a week ago). At one point, I joked that I was going to get married just for the Kitechenaid.

Actually, I'm very spoiled, because my family knows I love to cook and give me great kitchen tools for gifts. I've gotten my Le Creuset and immersion blender and some other fun toys that way.

  • Even though comforter is $299 from BBB, I am really hoping to get it !

    (he wants the juicer)
  • I really, really wanted my bedding set, and we've already gotten it, so that made me extremely happy.

Fi really wants the Margaritaville machine, but its ridiculously expensive and pretty unnecessary, so I doubt we will get it, but I'll probably buy it for him for Christmas, if we don't.

  • I really really want our cookware set, since FI and I have both lived with roommates forever and have like three pots and pans between us. Fortunately my mom offered to get us whatever we wanted most off our registry and I picked that so it looks like we're going to get it! :)

I really wanted our 13 piece stainless steel Calphalon cookware set but my mom has already informed me that that is what she is getting us for our wedding gift, so my next item was our comforter set. That was the first item purchased off of our registry so my current obsession is our place settings. And flatware. And I'd really love to get all of the bakeware we registered for. I'd also love to get our knives, but I've never seen anyone in my circle actually get knives...so FI and I have decided if we get any cash gifts we'll get them.

I would really love this fiesta dinnerwear set. It's kinda silly, but it's a lot of dishes and it all matches. LOL  we have some mismatched plates from over the years. Plus, the design is just so fun :)  LOL

  • The comforter set we registered for at Macy's.  FI's most coveted would be his beer tender.

  • I was really excited about the La Creuset dutch oven.  We haven't received it yet, but it's been purchased from our registry.  It was actually the first item to go.

Now I'm coveting a pair of Waterford crystal candlesticks.
FI has his fingers crossed for the fancy knives he picked out.
  • The deep fryer!!! Sad cuz I know we probably won't get it haha...
  • FI and I aren't getting married for a year... but we registered two weeks ago and already received all 12 of our place settings and the Kitchen Aid Mixer that I have dreams about :) SOOOO... we're pretty pumped about that!!

we threw in a nice cutting board and I think FI really really wants the Magic Bullet thingamajig...(i don't know why, but it will make him happy - it was the first thing he scanned haha)

mags- the margaritaville machine is so not unnecessary! it's actually really amazing!

  • My Kitchen Aid mixer!  I think it was probably the most expensive item too but my FI's aunts chipped in and bought it for me for a shower they hosted.  My parents have one that's over twenty years old and still works like new, so this is hands down the greatest item on my registry.
  • Well when we move im planning on doing my kitchen in a happy yellow color and i want the yellow kitchenaid stand mixer sooo bad
i dont need it, i have one of the old ones but its small and a hand me down from his grandmother I just want my kitchen to look like a magazine and that mixer would be sore thumb LOL

  • I want a KitchenAid stand mixer SO bad.  I have for years.  It's like the ultimate baking tool.

I was showing it to FI and describing it, and I apparently got very excited, because he said "Dude, you have like a two-foot boner or something."

  • I really, really want my "good" Denby china - I didn't think anyone would get it for me, but my dad asked me what I most wanted, so I told him that if nobody got it for me, he and I could go in together on it and it would be "from" him.
  • Wustof Classic Knife Set.  Simply Amazing (I love chopping veggies now).  My mom got Wusthof Classic knives in the 1970's and they are STILL in great condition.  Close second was Calphalon Tri-Ply pots and pans set.  Oh and my mixer- now I can make Christmas cookies.
