My fiance and I live in a small apartment. We've been living together for years so we have a lot of what we need. Other things that we would like to have (like a big mixer) we've done without because we just don't have the storage space right now. Of course there are items we can upgrade, but we don't need much.
Typically, for birthday and Christmas presents for each other, we prefer to spend our money on events - like Broadway show tickets, a nice dinner, and other events we can do together. We feel like we'd rather have an experience together than more items in our apartment. We both work in NYC and it is fun (but expensive) to go out to a show.
I found something online called weddingticketregistry.com that lets you register for Broadway tickets, concerts, sporting events, etc. I think it would be a great thing to be able to spend the first year of our marriage making some memorable experiences. Has anyone tried this site - either as a bride/groom or a guest?
Also, I know honeymoon registries are pretty frowned upon around here as requests for money - do you think this ticket registry falls in the same category?
