Ok, so I'm a little lost here (I'm also the groom so forgive me if I am even slower than expected). I have finally found some great gifts to get my groomsmen (since food network is such a big trend now, I'm getting them kick a$$ chef knives from

I wanted to know, etiquette wise, how big or small do people go on gifts for their bridesmaids/groomsmen in comparison to how much they're paying for their dresses and tux rentals? Another confusion is how much do we go for our parents gifts? Both parents are divorced so there's 8 people to buy for. Do we buy each one a gift or a big couples gifts? They all contributed to the wedding costs equally, but i'm not sure what a good gift is? Say for example one couple put in 5k. Do we give them a nice 100-200 couples gifts or beause it was 5k, do we get them a 700.00 gift to compensate? I wouldn't think so because they gave 5k to help with the wedding, not to get it back. Anyways, let me know what the norm is for most bride/groom's. Thanks, T
