Gift for your Fiance

What are people getting their FI's for a wedding present?   My FI's dream gift is to get a Tag Hauer watch, but unless I win the lottery that won't be happening.      Any suggestions or ideas?

I'm doing boudoir photos (woo livingsocial deal!) and something nerdy (sets of hard-to-find cards from magic: the gathering).

we agreed no wedding gift to each other (we're buying a house and renovating a kitchen...soooo that's gift enough!).  I'll probably talk to him about writing a note to exchange while we're both getting ready though.

ideas i had were gift cards to favorite stores, restaurants, etc.  or planning something a little extra for our honeymoon (secretly book a massage or fancy dinner, etc)

My FI gos through lighters like candy so I got him a nice silver one that I'm getting engraved.

My fiance always wanted a bagpiper at our wedding, so that is what I got him for our recessional.

My fiance is Jewish and I'm thinking of getting him a mezuzah pendant and gold chain http://www.generousgems.com/p/charms/religious-charms/judacia-charms/mezuzah-charms/

He has one now, but it was his fathers and its silver and he reacts quite badly to it, so he needs a gold one and gold chain instead.

Honestly, it means nothing to me, as I am Catholic, but he will like it and be surprised.

I would love to wear my cross on my wedding day, but I feel like it may be too much for FI's family.  It is really beautiful and was a gift from my grandfather for my conformation.  My grandfather picked it out all by himself.  He died 5 years ago.

I told FI not to get me pearls because I knew he was considering it for me.  I'm thinking of asking him if he can get me a simple, white gold cross to wear, something less flashy than the one from my grandfather (which is on the larger side, yellow gold and had a good size diamond in the middle.)

We decided not to do gifts BUT we are getting married on his 30th birthday, so my 'birthday' present to him is a boudoir book. I'm taking pics next week!

We are also working on our house and may just get him a card and I like the idea of exchanging notes while we are getting ready - very personal and something we can keep forever.

That's exactly the same thing my FI wanted. I was actually able to afford one because I got it on Amazon rather than at the store. Is there a particular one he wants? If there is, google the # they give you, and you will surely be able to find it cheaper. And if there isn't a particular one, then maybe you can get an older year's model, which I also did, so it was cheaper!

I also did Boudoir photos, which I am so excited to give him. I'm more excited about that than the watch!!

Any sports players he loves or idolizes? I wrote a letter to Nolan Ryan and actually got a beautiful letter in return that I framed (frame from Kohl's) for him! He LOVED it!!
