Other couple had gift cards listed in the registry section of their website...

Is this rude?

Nowhere on invitations or save the dates did it name registries (which I've already read is quite the faux pas), but on their website it has the links to stores they are registered for, as well as a list of other stores' gift cards that they would appreciate...

Is this an equal infraction?

  • I feel it's fine on the website b/c that is a place people are supposed to seek additional info regarding the wedding.
What did you think would happen if you walked up to a group of internet strangers and told them to get shoehorned by their lady doc?~StageManager14

  • Well, When I registerd. Bloomingdale's and William Sonoma. They both added gift cards to the registry.  In case items in someone's price range are not available, they know these are stores we enjoy shopping in.

My venue suggested I have a cash bar when I told them I didn't want a full open bar.  They could care less if I am committing an etiquette faux pas, they just want the sales.  Same thing.
