How do you seperate your registries?

Do you do one for entertainment, one for kitchen, and one for anything else? Or do you seperate them by stuff you reallly need/want?

Re: How do you seperate your registries?

  • Huh?  Just register where you want.  We did BB&B and Macys.  We had kitchen/bath stuff at both.  It just depended on what we wanted from each store and the price points they offered.
  • Just pick what you want from each store. I'll be comparing prices on the big stuff and going that way.
  • I actually get what you're coming from.  We sort of did it by theme, though there is definitely some cross-over.  Macy's has our fine china, appliances, basically everything that's a little pricey.  PB has our bath, bedding, and decor items (with a few serving pieces), and amazon has kitchen gadgets and little extras.

  • It's kinda hard to keep the registeries straight! I have macy's, BBB, and kohls. I ended up putting the basics (like pots, common appliances) on Kohls, since it's the only store availible in all the areas guests live. BBB and macy's only have extra items specific to those two places.
  • We had more of our "designy" items like some serving dishes, wine glasses, pitchers, colored mixing bowls and display items from Crate and Barrel. This registry wasn't as big as our other one at Bed Bath and Beyond.

The rest of our items, like our china, all kitchen gadgets, small kitchen appliances, and cookware were from Bed Bath and Beyond. Crate and Barrel sold basically all the same things, but I knew that my guests could purchase them cheaper if they used the 20% off coupon that BB&B always honors.
