Hi! This is for anyone who lives abroad and got married in the USA - it really tends to complicate matters in regards to gift registries. Because the majority of our guests will be American, I was worried about them buying US gadgets which obviously don't work with UK electrical currents. Not to mention the issues of shipping fragile/heavy items back which will cost us a fortune! So I had resolved to spread the word that cash gifts will be best for us and was thinking of doing a honeymoon registry.
On the other hand, I was thinking I should just do two small registries for guests on either side of the pond, a UK shop and a US one, and exclude bulky/electrical items. I know for a fact I will have people in my family, etc. that will want to buy physical gifts.
It's all a bit of a headache!! In addition, my MOH really wants to do a bridal shower for me (and I would love to have one!) but would that only complicate issues further?! Help, please! xx
