Everyday Dinnerware

I am getting ready to start registering...I had heard from someone that Crate & Barrel's dishes are not the best quality. Has anyone had any issues with their dinnerware?

I keep reading that Fiestaware is the best. Does anyone have any recommendations on good everyday dinnerware?

I had some C&B dinnerware a few years ago, and I didn't particularly care for it.

I would recommend the Fiestaware or the Noritake Colorwave because of the durability and the color choices available.

I have Fiestaware.  I love it.  There's so many different colors to choose from and you can mix and match the colors.  You can buy individual plates and bowls.  Or you can get 4 piece sets which include a dinner plate, salad plate, cereal bowl, and coffee mug.  They run about $48 per set at Macy's, but every few months Macy's runs a "buy one get one free" deal.  I bought 12 place settings for the price of 6! I thought that was a great deal.

I'm addicted to Fiestaware. Seriously addicted. It is durable, comes in color choices that are both traditional and funky, can be replaced with relative ease, and is affordable, especially with sales.

I have had personal experience with one of C & B's mid-grade place-settings and was not pleased.  I would probably never buy everday dinnerware from them again.

Rknox...I have a slight fiestaware addiction too.  There's so many colors and accessories.  I have white, red, and turqoise for everyday.  I buy brand new "seconds" at flea markets for oddball colors that I wouldn't use all the time.  For instance, I bought shamrock green plates for $4 each.  I can use them at Christmas with my white and red dinnerware.

I third the Noritake Colorwave. I got 8 of our place settings for shower gifts and I really can't wait to use them. I love how "sturdy" they feel, and the color selections are fun. We got the graphite because I liked how versatile the color could be.

I love my Fiestaware!  Love it!  

I like to mix and match colors depending on mood, season, food serving, etc.

I have crate and barrel dishes and I love them.  FI is clumsy and has literally dropped at least 8 pieces and it's never broken . We have one that has a chip and I've had them for 4 years or so.

I can't speak abou the "china" from there.
