Recommendations for a set of nice, unique wine glasses?

I want to give a set of high quality wine glasses to my parents and in-laws as a thank-you. I'm thinking something with a tall stem, or maybe stemless because that seems to be getting popular, for red or white wine, without spending more than $40 or so per glass. The ideal glass would have a touch of uniqueness (did I just invent that word?). Any suggestions for brands, styles or places to buy?

i love mikasa! thats where our dishes and the matching accessories, as well as our wine and bar items are from.

oh, and they sell most of the mikasa items at bed bath and beyond as well! its really nice stuff

Ditto Mikasa, and at least here some of their lines are carried by Belk, and usually on sale.

They are traditional and the platinum rim is lovely, but the stem is unique and beautiful.
