Hi ladies,
A few months ago I registered online with Bed Bath and Beyond in Canada.
About a month ago, we received our first registry gift from my dad, who also purchased it online.
On Friday, my fiance's sister in law tried to go in store to buy us a present, and was told by the customer service that our registry was;
a) invalid
b) filled with items not available to Canada
c) unable to purchase from
Of course she called me in a panic (our wedding is in 2 months) thinking that I didn't have a registry. I called BBB registry customer service and they said that all of the things my SIL was told were incorrect. Just to make sure, I also called a local store and they confirmed our existing registry and even noted that they had many of our items in store.
My SIL has several small children at home and I feel horrible that she had to waste her time trying to buy us a present. I'm obviously just hoping she doesn't hear the same thing again when she goes back.
I've already suggested she might want to shop online since clearly my dad didn't have such problems.
I'm just wondering if anyone else has had an experience like this?
