DJs under $1000?

A friend of mine was going to get married on the beach in Alabama. Well, because of the oil spill they have decided to get married locally. She is planning everything in less than 3 months. Anyway, she still needs a dj for under $1000. I know of Melody. Are there any others you ladies would recommend? TIA

    I know Wagner really liked her DJ and he was under $1K.

    yes!!! very much so! most of the ones i priced were around $600 or some were about $150/hour.
    but the one i'm going with, dj of dallas, i'm getting an early day discount and i'm paying $400. and my reception is only 3.5 hours.

    Melody with Melodies and Memories. She's willing to work with your budget and is really sweet! For the ceremony and a 5 hour reception, I'm paying $700, no set up fees, no troansportation fees, deposit was waved...

    We are using Brent with In Motion DJ. I saw him recommended by someone else on TK. We met with him a few weeks ago and he was so great and very personable.

    I'm using Marshall Argovitz (google him).  He is traveling 2 hours for my wedding, and I'm having a 4 hour reception, and he's charging me $850... He's a really personable, funny guy, so I think he'll do a great job.

    I know of one...I'm not sure how much he charges.  I've just emailed him to find out.  If he's within your range, I'll get you his contact info.  I had his number somewhere, and I was just going to post it...but I can't find it now!!!  So I've emailed him.

    I am using Randy Ro Entertainment, he is charging us $650.00 for ceremony and reception. He will add monogram lighting to the dance floor for $100.00.

    I used and feel comfortable recommending Matt w/ DJ'S of DALLAS... you should be able to get him for under $1000 easily WITH uplighting.

    I have also seen great reviews about Melodies and Memories.
