Doubts??

Does anyone ever have times that they doubt they are doing the right thing by marrying your FI? most of the time i dont , but sometimes i do and it freaks me out. Especially with the high divorce rates out there.....what if the marriage doesnt last and i'm miserable and we get divorced? Am i the only bride who feels this way or is everyone else 100% sure of their decision?

I think it is delusional to think that you and your FI will not change over time.  For the posters who are talking bad about divorce, I am glad that you are happy.  But my mom told me this today and it kind of sunk inI think it came from Barbara Walters but she has been married four times and each time she said there was a nagging feeling that she was making a mistake.  That nagging feeling turned out to be true each time and she would end up getting divorced.  Just think about it, your gut will tell you what to do even if your head can think of millions of reasons to go through with it, your gut will really tell you the truth.Sorry to be a downer but I would hate for you to only see one side of the picutre of make a wrong decision based on that

thanks for the honesty.....i feel like my gut is saying 'yes' and the doubts (which are only from time to time) are only in my head. I read something the other day that made a good point....it mentioned that couples who had no doubts before the wedding have gotten divorced, while couples who had doubts before the wedding have lived 'happily ever after'.

I sometimes wonder too, but I've never had those "I can't live without you" thoughts about anyone. I've learned to be very independant over the years, so that's probably why.
