FI and I can not for the life of us decied on wedding favor's. I want something edible or drinkable but we will be having alot of other options besides cake, FI wants glasses ex:wine or shots with our names and wedding date on them however after asking around not alot of ppl seem to have liked them at other weddings. So I'm wondering are there any other options that would be favors ppl would like and are there any brides not doing favors?

food food food!  We're (and by "we" I really mean "I") making some kind of truffle of mini cookies for small boxes that I got onsale at Michaels.

I think that candy or something edible at the table is always a hit.  We aren't actually doing food.  We're using photo coasters as place cards and then guests will be able to take them home.  I may still do something else, but I haven't decided yet.  

Personally, as a guest at a wedding I am never super excited about anything that is personalized with the names and date of the wedding if it is something that I am able to keep such as a glass.  I know that it is supposed to be memorabilia from the wedding, but in a practical sense I will probably not use it much if it has someone elses names on it.  Sorry I know this is very popular and I don't mean to offend, this is just my opinion...I am probably not the norm on this one.

I feel the same way...I got a votive candle and a glass candle holder that had the couple's monogram, names, and wedding date on it...I'm burning the candle now, but plan on tossing the glass candle holder once the candle's done.

Go edible. I know I wouldn't use a glass with someone elses name on it. At least not very often. My venue provides a desert, but I really wanted cupcakes. So the cupcakes are our favors. We have a cupcake display and then there will be boxes for people to put their cupcake in and take home. I figure after the slightly insane amount of ffod they are serving they will be glad to take it home and eat it later!

Edible favors are a hit with me.
I honestly don't even take the favors I receive home most of the time. I really don't want to be the bride who spends the money only to look around at the end of the night and notice that nobody cared enough to take those home.

im still planning on having my candy buffet as one favor then a waffel shape ice  cream cup as a take home (using these to serve ice cream in) 

will have a favor tag that reads "a scoop of love from us"

so i say go with edible or like everyone else said something with no names/date on it !

I say go edible we are getting these French Macaroon cookies (not the same as coconut ones at all) from the same bakery we are getting our cupcakes .  I hate non-edible favors they aren't really useable if they have the names on them.

I agree agree agree with edible.

I am dying to do a candy buffet - and we had planned to do one through our venue to make the 2,500 minimum - but our guest list grew - so I don't think we'll need to struggle to make that anymore..so....who knows.

Thank you, thank you, thank you for the feedback! I really like the ice cream scoop idea especially since it's summer.

we are huge buy local and organic type of people. Our favors will be goats milk soap made by a local craftswoman.  The soap is amazing! It is gentle, smells yummy and lathers up better than any other soap I have used

I am totally with you on this one as well.  Nobody wants a glass with someone else's initials and wedding date on it.

You can never go wrong with something edible.

We are probably doing Lindt chocolates for each person, or if we come up with some extra money some where I might see about doing a candy bar with those pretty glass holders and each person can help themselves to what they want.

Since everyone's already mentioned edible I'm not going to repeat it lol. But if FI is still going for non edible favors, definitely go with something not personalized. Maybe a little tag with the name and date instead, that way it can be taken off later and the guest can enjoy their favor.
