Gown Ordered

We made the trek to the boutique in record time largely due to traffic moving at a faster pace.  I ended up trying on 7 gowns, 6 from the "new" designer and 1 from the selected designer.  Tosca is wonderful and understood that we were making the drive to try on at least 6 gowns, so they had 7 at the ready.

My FI and DSD were subjected to 5 gowns, my sister (MatronOH) was subjected to 4 gowns (she showed up a little late).  I vetoed 2 gowns in the dressing room, one was for someone with a longer torso, the other was going to be to fluffy and heavy at the same time, more of a winter look not early spring.

When all was said and done there were 2 clear favorites both from the James Clifford Collection, one was a best seller J1825 and THE ONE J21027, is from his fall 2010 collection.  J21027 was the last gown I tried and had been on my radar but not requested over a bow (yes I know).  We all liked it, but I was asked to try on the J1825 again to compare, so I did...ended up trying on J21027 again too but it was the clear winner!  Got measured (not fun) and the dress has been ordered sans the little detracting bow, and in white on white since ivory makes me look sallow.  So another check... We do have pictures I just have to get the FI to upload them.

I'm very happy that my family was there with me and that Tosca got that this had already been stressful enough; and made it a pleasant experience when it could have gone in another direction.

I'm no longer going to be the naked (or in jeans an white tee shirt) bride!
