B&M Monday

I'm tired today! I feel like I have been that way lately...moreso than usual! And Christmas this year just doesn't really seem like Christmas to me. :-/

We found a house that we love! Normally, that would be an AW....but it's a foreclosure and we are jumping through hoops like a circus animal just to be able to make an offer.

I've had the same headache since Saturday morning. It sucks! I'm also having a really emotional day and cried as I passed Baylor Grapevine this morning because it hit me last night that Christmas won't be the same this year. It sucks! I just keep crying and the last place I want to be today is at work.

I have to work all week. Hopefully this week will go by quickly and not drag. Boo to IL's who go out of their way to show you are not a part of the family.

Good luck Tiffany! I hope it works out for you.

I feel the same way about Christmas this year. I hope my mood comes around by Saturday, if not Friday.

I couldn't have said it better myself Dana. This time of year is rough for a lot of our knotties. I don't know if you buried him or whatnot but one Christmas we put a small Christmas tree with litte decorations on my brothers grave.

We stuffed and stamped all of the invites this weekend, which is great! The B&M part is that my dad wants to add more people. I told him that I was sorry, but anyone else would have to be on a B list and I wouldn't send out their invites until the majority of the RSVPs came in so we knew what our head count was at.

i spent 8 1/2 hours shopping yesterday, and my feet are KILLING me....silver lining...i got ALL my christmas shopping done in one day...i didn't think that was humanly possible. I'm also going to b&m about my brothers ex...not only did she decide to cut two days off of when my brother could pick up my nephew...but she also cut 2 days off of him keeping him...so i got to see my nephew at 6pm yesterday when he got in...and he leaves the morning of the 22nd...ugh!

our house is a wreck as well....and i just have no motivation to clean it...seems like EVERYTIME i do...it's a wreck again within hours.

i have the same problem as well, and i hate amarillo with a passion. it's boring, ugly, has terrible weather. and the people there just get on my nerves. shame it's MY side of the family that's there..

No he was cremated. I know I should be thinking of all the good times and I do normally but it's that time of month, it's the week of Christmas and haven't been sleeping because of my headache so I think it is just a combo of all the above but today was really bad. I haven't cried at the billboard by my house in almost a month but it got me this morning. (Stupid I'm cancer free thanks to Baylor Grapevine billboard!!) And then I have to drive by the hospital. I know its gonna be hard but it just seems a lot harder than Thanksgiving was!

Dana-I'm sorry :( I think Christmas is especially hard and you just have to remember that he's still here in spirit.

I wasn't planning on visiting my in-laws, but now my mom wants me to because 'it's the right thing to do'. I just really don't feel like subjecting myself to ridicule. I just don't really need it right now. FI told me to just ignore it and be indifferent, but it's kind of like... why do I want to go say hi to a bully when I KNOW that the bully will immediately attack me. ugh...

SO our pastor at church on Sunday urged us to forgive and be kind to "those who are difficult" in our lives, especially this week. I know that is the right thing to do, but I just don't think I can do it. I've forgiven them for the way they've acted, but I hardly think that I'm required to act like their sister/brother again.

I hate, absolutely hate when they do this. Just because it's the holidays doesn't mean you give a free pass to those who treat you like crap normally. Because we all know once Christmas is over, it starts all over again.

Congrats Tiffany!

B&M - FI is really pushing the Vegas wedding. Granted this will be the 2nd marriage for us both so I can understand not having a big wedding. I was really looking forward to getting a cake from The Cake Guys, lol.

Honestly I think "doing the right thing" needs to be thrown out the window or burned to ash. DH is all "I think it's the right thing to do" so I've done it to make him happy only to be crapped on by MIL yet again. You shouldn't have to subject yourself to that crap. If you do go and she attacks you, both FI and you get up and leave whether you are in the middle of eating or you just walked through the door.

We did this last year, i'd had enough of being treated like crap...it was my only day off i'd had in like 6 months...and i said "f*ck it, i'm not going to spend my day here" so we got up, drove the 6 1/2 hours home, and haven't been back since.

Nothing really to BM about for me today. Just that everytime I go into the dinning room to wrap something for XMas the paper is never in there! My mom takes and puts away everything as soon as I set it down and run off to get something else. I dunno what that is all about.

Danna I am really sorry....I wish I could say something to make it all better for you.

I have a horrible headache.... Its been days now. I went to see my Dr. and there is nothing physical about it. He said is more emotional and stress related... yeah I know... I had a hell of a week last week.... tons of work, very emotional issues, missing my family, this is my first Christmas ever without at least one member of my family... I am homesick.
Can't wait to see FI on Friday.. but the house is a mess.. and I don't feel like cleaning!! aghhhhh .. I really just want to go under the covers....
I need to clean my desk since I am getting a new computer at work (I guess that should be and AW...)but I am not in the mood....
Ahh I remember ITS MONDAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm in the same boat with sev. of you all. I've gotta work everyday (except Wed and Saturday). I'm jealous of everyone who has off! I even have to be at work at 6am Christmas Eve...FML!!!!!!

FI has to close Christmas Eve which means 9 or 10 :(

I'm trying to think happy thoughts but it's hard with things not working out as we had hoped. Thats why I hope 2011 will be our year. HOPING and PRAYING for both of us to get new jobs, to have an amazing wedding and to start our lives happy.

Same here. I told FI when we were g-chatting earlier that I don't want to do this Christmas without him. I'm feeling very sad right now.

And my apartment is also a wreck. My New Year's resolution is to organize and clean it and keep it that way. Tonight after my much needed pedicure, I am going to spend at least an hour cleaning up so my dad and stepmom don't judge me when they stop by Thursday.

I will piggy-back on the non-Christmas-y feel to this season in comparison to others. Last year didn't seem normal until the Xmas Eve blizzard started--which I LOVED!! At least this is a 3-day work week so that I can start baking, cooking and wrapping--I think that is when it will really feel like Christmas!
My B&M: I'm a lazy slacker that better get with the program. W-Day is 6 months from today, and I need to get SO many things done.

I got my icing and chocolate, but I can't find any Red Velvet cake mix. I'm pretty upset about this. I'm going to try another store on my lunch break, but it may be oreo truffles for us this year too.

Hmm I thought Red Velvet would be quite common. Wal Mart's shelve were pretty bare when I went Saturday though. I ended up doing Spice Cake & Cream Cheese frosting

they are delicious...i kinda made the recipe my own by changing some things...like instead of bakers chocolate on the outside..i used milk chocolate and white chocolate..(bakers was just so rich)

and instead of crushing the oreos whole...i took the frosting out from the middle first and mixed it by itself with the cream cheese...turned out so much better.
