Undecided on Gown

Time is getting short to order my dress but am undecided maybe you all can help me.  I am leaning toward a vintage style of wedding.  I have two dresses that I realy like, one is dicontunied but found a seamstress that can make it.  The other I have to order.  Could you please look in my photos and see what you think?  I should tell you though that I am a pluse size bride.  Any ideas excepted.

Thank you for your help

You have two very different style of wedding dresses in your photos area.   The one with the lace cap sleeves and corset back would lend itself toward a more formal vintage style wedding; whereas the tea length one would be more casual.  So it depends on how formal/elegant of an even you are wanting to have.

As a plus size bride (I am also plus size), I would steer away from the long one that is more fitted in the butt area.  A looser skirt is more flattering, unless this is an area of your body that you want to feature.

    Welcome!

I really can't decide on dresses from pictures, and I don't think you should either. Just my opinion. Since you have 2 styles in mind, if I were you, I'd go to some local salons and find dresses with similar silhouettes, and see what is the most flattering to you. Alternatively, if you have worn styles similar to either of these in the past, if you felt great in them, that should inform your decision.

Are there parts of your body you HATE in certain styles? The bottom dress has a halter top, and for me, unless the halter is cut EXACTLY a certain way, ie right under the arms, I have front "flabby parts" that get squeezed in the side chest area in front of my arms. REALLY not attractive on me.

I also agree with Angie, part of it is also based on the style of your ceremony and reception. The uppermost dress is pretty formal, the bottom one more "fun", but still elegant.

Not sure I helped you, but there may be others with different opinions.

The wedding is on the formal side.  But beings how it is not my first wedding I was trying to find a gown that was no within the norm and on the the vintage style side.

Thank you for your help everyone.

When I went into the bridal shop to try on dresses, I spent days on their website choosing dresses to try on.  The one I just knew was "the one" looked like I had wrapped myself in a tube of gauzy curtains!   The one that looked the best on me, and that I really liked, was one that I threw on the list as an afterthought.

You cannot know for sure from pictures - you need to go try them on.

Best Wishes for finding your dress!
