Invitation Inspiration?

Please share your invitation inspiration.  This is the closest I have found to what we want.  I would change the colors and, likely, not include a response/reply card ... but this is likely the direction.  The look and feel reflect the vibe of the historical notes of the venue.

    I actually like the over all design of the invitation.........I like how it is also bordered in black or perhaps a darker color matching your theme....I love how a portion of the design is carried over to the response card, I saw you were thinking of not using them........I definetly feel it could be used as an invitation to a venue that has a historical nature..


    Mine are pictured below...
       Mine are kind of simple, yet perfect for our  brunch reception.....DIY invites from Michaels....I was ecstatic with the finished project...

    We have our invitations already printed and ready to go I just don't have a picture of them right now.  We purchased DIY Invitations from Michael's.  We spent 45 minutes going over the different types of invitations that were there and ended up getting the White Whisp ones.  We printed our information in Navy blue so it goes with our colors.  Below is a scan of the invitation with it's canned wording.




    Once I have a picture of the real thing I will share it.

    Thank you Lisa, I'm very creative and crafty, and am unemployed so... I have the time and such to do a lot! 

    All of our wedding related stationary has been DIY. There was a snafu with the first round of printing the invitations Word corrupted my font color and I didn't catch it until after I had printed everything!  So I had to pick up more invitations and correct the font color from cornflower blue (which is lovely) back to Navy which is our color of choice.

    The only thing left to print is our programs and I am waiting on those because my bridal party is unsettled.  Once I have the final count our Escort Cards will be printed.  Of course I am doing all the calligraphy addressing of the invitations as well. Our huge floral package was also a DIY .(Yes, call me certifiable).

    Lisa, I will definitely share my calligraphy with you!  I'm not a rock star, but thank you for the compliment.  LOL I  just don't want to pay someone to do something I can do just as well for less. (Perhaps I'm cheap?) Er...uh I mean frugal, yeah that's it!

    That is a good point, Angie.  I really wish I could do calligraphy.  There is certainly enough time for me to learn, I would guess, before we need to mail out invitations in early- to mid-May.  You've encouraged me to get my act together ... right after I get beyond flu (me) and mono (my son).  Thank you!

    Butterflies are part of the theme for the wedding and these reall seem to fit with my outdoor summer wedding. I still haven't ordered them yet ut I'm not geting married for another 18 months

    I really like all of these invites.  My FI and I changed our wedding colors when we found this first invitation.  We both love the color blue, so it was only right to drop the "green" we initially had and use this blue.  The first invite is our inspiration, and the pocket fold is what our actually invites will be like.  Since we are having a destination wedding, there is a lot of information that needs to be passed along to our guests.

    I don't have a picture of my invitation but it is so adorable...
    My Granddaughter is 5 and I asked her to draw a stick figure bride and groom.
    She had eyelashes on my eyes, a bouquet in my hand, a bow tie and top hat on Ray...it was precious.
    I took it to the invitation people and they scanned it...put it to the one side of the invitation and the writing on the other side....
    people loved it!!!
    Family oriented...2nd wedding....
    Just perfect!
