I just saw a post that you wrote tonight, asking how I've met FI, so I am sorry for the delay in replying to you.
Anyways, we've met through the internet (Christian site) and it was a lot of work along with him to build up the relationship. When I met him, he was in a very bad spot financially and in the middle of an ugly custody battle, with no hope to win it. I just thought then, "I am out of here", but it was not what God wanted for us. We've been together ever since - almost 6 years - with a lot of hard bumps in the road (my serious accident, protective orders for him, the death of my son, his retirement long battle), but we've managed to stay together and grow as an individual and as a couple. We've had many great times also, unforgettable moments, incredible travels, and mostly important, we are great as a family and our kids are very happy for us! We could not be more different from each other if we talk about background - he was a farmer boy and I came from the diplomatic world - but our ethics, Christian and moral principles and values are very similar, and in my opinion, this is the fundamental key to our relationship.
