You might have better luck posting this on the local "Maine" board.

I'm getting married at Fort Popham State Historic Site, it's a gorgeous civil war era fort that is surrounded by three sides by ocean, and you can see two lighthouses from it. The parade ground it more that big enough for 20, I'm fitting 65-80 in there for my ceremony. The best part is, because it's a state park, you can use it for FREE, you just have to write a letter of intent to the park administrator and get approval. As for hotels, your option would be Bath, which is full of B&B's and the Holiday Inn, Sebasco Resort is right there in Phippsburg, but IMO it is more than a bit over priced. I live in Maine on the coast, so if you have any questions, feel free to PM me.

If you haven't already, try to narrow down what part of Maine you are looking at. From Boston, you can be at the Maine coast  in about 90 minutes.  And if you keep driving for 8 more hours, you are still on the Maine coast.

I know a SW bride got married at a lighthouse on the Maine Coast.  I just checked the Maine tourism site and there are whole buncha lighthouses on there, but I didn't recognize the name.  There is a lighthouse at Popham (as mentioned by PP) but that wasn't it.

If you are looking for touristy places - check out the Rockland/ Camden or Bar Harbor areas.  Vinalhaven is a lovely fishing island, I know of someone who had a wedding there. If you don't want to drive North forever, try Kennebunk & Kennebunkport.  If you want authentic Maine, head Down East.  Good luck.  ~Donna

If you want to have the wedding and the accommodations all in the same place, you might look at The Mooring Bed and Breakfast in Georgetown, ME.  My brother had his reception there, and it is gorgeous!
