I had flames all week and when it counts I can't think of them. I need to write them down. Maybe I just had to great of a night, last night. Laughing

The cash bar/open bar question gets really old.

Maybe I'm just in a snarky mood because it's been a long week, but it gets old.

I honestly think that some people have too high an expectation when it comes to wedding planning.  Is every thing going to fall exactly into place?  Turn out the way you envision?  Be exactly perfect?  Is everyone going to behave?  Will people not feel hurt because they weren't part of the bridal party?  Invited to the wedding?  No, of course not.  It makes me wonder how they found someone to fit their idea of perfect.

Oh I have one that's been on my mind for a week or so.....

If doing a trash the dress session is characterized by some as wasteful, extravagant, a spectacle, selfish,  a gross display of wealth, etc.... then here is my question..

WHAT ON EARTH WOULD YOU CALL A WEDDING?!?!?!?!

Technically you can go to the courthouse or have a small backyard soiree, but many of us choose not to, and there is NOTHING wrong with that.  Just like there is nothing wrong with trashing your dress.

    I really don't see a difference.

EXACTLY!! And seriously what makes someone think they have the right to tell someone else what they should or shouldnt do with their dress or anything else to do with your wedding for that matter unless its directly and negatively impacting others.

    I flame bad wedding dreams.

Last night was the worst - I woke up from the most detailed dream ever, just before the alarm, was nearly in tears, and had a stomach ache from it!  First, I dreamed that my wedding got moved to a different church.  It was really pretty, so I didn't mind.  Then, afterwards when it was time to take all the pictures, I couldn't find anyone I needed to be in them, and half the guests were still chilling in their seats instead of heading over to the reception.  Then, FI was totally MIA.  I searched everywhere for him, and finally found him about half a mile from the reception site, in this nasty, run-down trailer house with all his groomsmen, and they were SOOO wasted, and he was being really mean.  I woke up when I was trying to decide whether to go to the reception alone, or just go home and call it a night.  Awful.

I have to admit I've had an irrational fear that he'll get drunk on our wedding day... he's not normally a big drinker, and I don't think he's going to be so nervous that he has to drink to get through the day or anything, so I have no idea why I have this fear.  But obviously since it's showing up in my dream, it's bothering more than I realized!!!!

Somedays I wish I had more of a dramatic streak.

Sometimes wish I could just be one of the girls that comes on TK and blasts their family drama and their BM drama and their in-law drama. They must feel so much better after b!tching it out and bouncing it off others.

I've got a lot of all of that going on, but for some reason I feel inappropriate bringing it to a public forum like this. The few times I have posted about family/BM drama I have felt so guilty I seriously thought of deleting the post.

I seriously hate it when there are 10 other stalls to choose from in the restroom and you must go to the one next to me.  Thank you for not talking to me though.

While I'm getting things off my chest... I'm sick and tired of TCU's football team getting zero respect from the college football community.

Guess what?  Our schedule sucks because your school is too chicken to play us.  Probably because your afraid we will beat you.

Ok.. I'm done for the day.  Whew.

I definitely like SMU's spirit though.  It's about time they get a good community following going over there.

Although I"m not a TCU fan I have to agree with this.  TCU has shown that they are a pretty amazing team.  Some people may say they are winning games because they are playing nobody teams, but they are actually blowing nobody teams out of the water.

SMU is a much better team this year than they were last year - by far.  However, I don't see them winning this game.  Not that I'm an expert or anything - I just have a small love for college football.

And at the end of the day - I will always bleed red and black.  :)

This happens to me all the time!  The funniest one was when the mom took her little girl into the stall with her for obvious reasons but the little girl started asking--very loudly--"Mommy, why do you have fur on your butt?"  When the mom started shushing her, she said, "But why do you?"  I left quickly so that she wasn't any more embarassed than she already was.

Lacey - I agree.   The whole system is screwed.   It's certainly not just TCU... as much as I detest them Boise State is reeeallly bada** too and they get no respect either.

You betcha SMU is doing great this year.. their only loss this year has been to Tech.. and that's ok.. bc DH is an alumni..  ;)

I am going to continue rooting for SMU until I at least get my loans paid off..

On a sidenote, it was always funny going to the games there while I was a student.. everyone dressed up like they were going to a party.. I always found that to be strange.

I have to disagree about TCU, not because I don't think they deserve recognition but because football dynasties like Texas, Florida, Bama, etc. take time to build. TCU has had a great run recently, but 2009 was also their first undefeated season since 1938. If they can keep the momentum going and win the conference this year people will start to take notice.

The TCU schedule sucks because the conference sucks. I would love to see a new conference come out of the Big 12 mess with TCU in with the other good regional teams and some of the weaker teams (sorry Baylor and K State) in another conference. TCU needs a strong regional rivalry to help build a fan base outside of the school because honestly what would Texas be without the 250,000 Texas fans with Wal-Mart shirts?

Haha... little kids are great... a few weeks ago, we were out for a family dinner and my 4 yr old niece, who has the biggest crush on DH, started telling us about her new revelation that  her mom(my sis) has hair under her arms and she shaves it!!

We just nodded it off... and my niece thought we didn't believe her so she walked over to my sister and kept pushing her arm and insisting that she show us and was getting quite upset when my sister wasn't following along.. she kept screaming " Show them mommy, show them!" haha

*sigh*  Having 150,000 t-shirt fans doesn't make you a good team.  They have certainly proven that over the years.

I'm also not so naive to say that we are the best, because we aren't.  Alabama would certainly crush us.

I know exactly what you mean.  I have some serious(to me) s-i-l/bridesmaid drama but in order to explain it would probably take a lot of backstory and I just dont feel like airing my dirty laundry like that so that others can possibly flame my situtation.

So instead I sit back and judge those that do air it all.

Agreed.  Also it annoys me that fans are only fans because that team is winning.  I wonder what will happen to all of their fans when they start losing.  I know the real fans will stay true - but I bet Wal-Mart will no longer carry their shirts.  ;)

LOL @ the fur.  Once in Target this mom was trying to get her daughter to go to the bathroom one last time because they had a long way home.  The girl refused because it was a public bathroom.  The mom told everyone "They don't cover this in those books."

Sometimes its easier to type out what you are dealing with than trying to tell it to someone. At least it is for me. It is also nice to have a 3rd party that doesn't know the other person/people involved. (You don't want what you said getting back to them. :-P) A third party can tell you if you are being unreasonable or not. ( If they choose to believe it or not is what FFF is made of. :-P)

Thank goodness I haven't had the drama that some of the people on my month board have had.  Jeebus I don't know if they do it to themselves or if the people around them are that insane.
