I'm posting on this board because you ladies will understand more. My wedding was on May 5th and it was a beautiful wedding. My MIL is still close to my husband's ex because of the grandchildren. As far as she's concerned the ex is the DIL and I'm her son's wife.
For some background, when I met my SIL for the first time we had dinner at my MIL's house. Next thing I know my husband's ex showed up for dinner and sat next to me. My MIL never asked her son if it would bother him that she was there. She sees no problem with any of this but she can't be near her ex husbands wife of over 20yrs. She said that she would not sit at the same table as her.Am I the only one in this family that's sees a problem with all of this?
On the day of my wedding my MIL walked into where we were waiting and the only concern she had was to make sure that the photographer had taken pictures of the two grandchildren because she was buying the ex their picture for Mother's Day. Welcome to the family!
